Welcome to Module 4! This section will cover several of the math mats found in our program. Each video includes examples of activities you can use with each mat. The mats also comes with activities guides that can support additional lesson ideas.
The Math & Movement program includes visually engaging floor mats and banners. They are designed to encourage students to practice learning numbers, letters, words, and more while hopping along!
Once students are familiar the movements, you can begin incorporating worksheets that they can solve using the mats. Attach each worksheet to a clipboard for students to fill out as they move around.
When practicing multiplication, begin with a small number of problems and only one multiple. Gradually increase the number of problems as you go. Do not mix multiplication problems until students have mastered each number.
Reflect: Choose one mat and describe how you would use a clipboard worksheet with it.
